The Cox Rox special on Cox7-AZ will feature the top nine high school & college bands determined from the preliminary rounds of the Tempe Music Festival's SRP Garage Band Competition, held Feb. 17, Feb. 24 and March 3 at Desert Ridge Marketplace. These bands performed live on Saturday, March 10th at Jillian's Club Atlas at Desert Ridge Marketplace for the taping of the television special.

Cox Rox will air on Cox7-AZ  on Mar. 19 at 8pm, Mar. 23 at 7pm, Mar. 24 at 9pm and Mar. 25 at 1pm. During each of the airings, Cox Digital Cable viewers will have an opportunity to vote with their remote controls for their favorite bands. The top five bands as selected by Cox Digital Cable viewers and online voting at AZCentral.com will go on to perform live at the Tempe Music Festival on Mar. 31 for a chance to win the opportunity to open for the headlining act of the festival.
