Cox Named Champion of Disability Employment

Honor Celebrates Cox's Commitment to Disability Practices in the Workplace

Chesapeake, VA — Cox Communications has announced that is has been awarded the Southside Hampton Roads Regional Business Champion Award for its commitment to disability employment. The award was presented by the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Service (DRS) and AMERIGROUP Corporation at the Third Annual Regional Disability Employment Champions Awards Luncheon.

The Champions Awards honors individuals and organizations from public, private, and non-profit sectors that ‘champion’ the employment of people with disabilities and promote disability-friendly practices in the workplace. The awards are given as series of statewide and regional employer recognition events to commemorate October’s Disability Employment Awareness Month.
