Learn the Zone Function Definitions used by Cox Home Security.

Solution

Security zones are the sensors that detect movement and the opening and closing of doors and windows. The sensors communicate wirelessly with your touchscreen. Security zones are added to the system and configured by your installer. You can enable and disable each security zone using the Security app. The table below lists zone functions, their definitions, and the sensor affected for the Cox Home Security system.

Common uses are to detect occupancy or trigger a rule, such as turn on a light when someone enters a room.
