Solution

Complete the following steps to connect additional computers to the Cox home gateways using wireless. If you have not connected your first computer as a wired connection, refer to Connecting a Modem With an Ethernet Connection.

Access your computer's Wireless Network Connection application, either MAC or Windows.

  1. Locate the SSID of the wireless network printed on the label of your WiFi modem. If you need help in finding the label, see Cox Compatible Cable Modems for a list of all devices and locate your device. The label can be found within the article of your device.
  2. Select the SSID on the new computer's wireless network application.

    Result: A request for the passphrase displays.

Locate the Passphrase printed on the label of your WiFi modem.

Enter the Passphrase exactly as it appears on the label of your WiFi modem.
 
Note: The wireless passphrase is case sensitive.
