Solution

Complete the following steps to find a forgotten User ID from the Cox.net home page.

  1. From www.cox.com, place your mouse cursor over the My Connection tab and click Internet Tools from the menu.

    Result: The Internet Tools page displays.
     
  2. Click the Forgot User ID link.
     

    This link can also be accessed from any Cox common sign-in page.



     

    Result: The Look Up User ID page displays.
     

  3. Enter the Account number and the Challenge and Response Code, then click the Continue button.



    Result: The User ID Lookup Secret Question page displays.
  4. Enter the Secret Answer for the account, then click the Submit button.
     

    For customers who have not previously created a secret question / secret answer, they will be presented with a page to submit demographic information instead.


     

    Result: The User ID Lookup Confirmation page displays the User ID information.
     

  5. Click the Proceed to Sign In button to enter User ID and Password.
