Your TV has a settings option to turn Closed Captions on or off.

Many televisions have Closed Captions offered as an option through the remote control or the television's setting menu. Consult your Owner's Manual or the manufacturer website for specifics, but Cox offers these general steps to help turn Closed Captioning on or off through your television:

If your television remote control has a CC button, press it until Closed Captions turn on or off (as desired).

If not, try this:

  1. Press the Menu or Setup button on your TV or remote control.
  2. Select the Setup or Display option.
  3. Select Closed Captioning, then turn it off or on, as desired.
