Applying a Contour Guide Filter

Solution

Use the following information to select a filtered guide view.

Notes:

  • When the guide is accessed through the Main Menu by pressing the CONTOUR button, the standard All Channels view displays. The default view feature only applies to GUIDE button presses.
  • As a parental control precaution, if Movies is set as the default view, but Kids view is accessed later, Kids becomes the default view for the session.
  • Only current and future day programming can be viewed. The guides do not show the previous programming.
  • The Contour 2 Guide displays the option to Switch Guide View when selecting a channel that is typically hidden due to a guide filter.
  1. Press the GUIDE button on the Cox remote twice.

    Result: The Select Your Guide View screen displays.
     
  2. Use the arrow buttons to select a filter as shown in the following table, then press OK.
  3. Navigate the filtered guide view the same way as the unfiltered guide.
    • Use the up and down arrows, Page Up, and Page Down to scroll through channels.
    • Use the left and right arrows, FFWD, and REW to move through time.

The guide only displays programming information from channels included in the filter. Refer to Managing Saved My List in Contour to set these filters.

The guide displays a selection of programming from all available channels.
 

Note: The Trending filter includes movies and TV shows that are currently trending on social media.

Free to MeThe guide displays only subscribed to programming and any ads displayed in other Guide views will not display.

Use the following information to change the Default Guide View.

  1. Use the down arrow to highlight General, then press OK.
  2. Use the down arrow to highlight Default Guide View, then press OK to turn the feature on or off.
  3. Use the arrows to select a guide view to display when the GUIDE button is pressed.
