Troubleshooting
The lights indicate the current status of your gateway. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.
Note: The Arris TM9202 is only used for Voice.
Modem Light | Status | Problem |
Power | Off | No power. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem. |
Solid | None. The device is powered on. |
Phone | Solid | None. Indicates service is enabled. |
Flashing | None. The line is in use. |
Battery | Off | No battery backup is available, or the battery is not installed. |
Flashing | None. Running on battery power. |
Solid | None. AC power is working. |
Critical Line Battery | Off | Battery needs replacement. |
Telephone Ports
Telephone ports connect to the home telephone wiring and conventional telephones or fax machines.
- Label TEL1: is used to connect your phone only if you subscribe to phone service from Cox.
- Label TEL2: has a plug labeled do not remove and can only be removed when subscribing to a second voice line from Cox. Connecting a 3rd party device is not supported by Cox.
