If you do not know what email client you are using to access Cox Business Email, right click on the program you use to access your email and select properties. A pop-up window will tell you the name of the program and the version of the program.
Here are a few generic steps to help you update your devices.
To validate all other settings, refer to Email Server Settings.
- Identify all devices that you and others in your household use to access Cox Business Email.
- For each device, open the email client that is used for your Cox Business Email.
- Go to Settings to view your current outgoing server setting, then update the following.
- In the port number field, delete 25 and enter 465.
- Make sure SSL is enabled.
- Go to Settings to view your current incoming server setting, then update the following.
- If you use POP, then in the port number field, delete 110 and enter 995.
- If you use IMAP, then in the port number field, delete 143 and enter 993.
- Make sure SSL is enabled.
