Installing the Digital Watchdog App for Computer

Follow the steps below to install the Digital Watchdog (DW) 4.0 app on your computer for your Cox Business Security Solutions service.

Your computer can only have one Cox Business Security Solutions app. If you have the Cox branded app, you will need to uninstall it before downloading the DW 4.0 app.

In your web browser, navigate to https://digital-watchdog.com/productdetail/DW-Spectrum-IPVMS/.

Scroll down to the navigation menu toolbar and click the Software tab.

Follow the steps below to download the correct software.

1. Click Patches and Previous Versions.
2. Click 4.0.
3. Click 29990 - Release.
4. Select the option for your operating system.
   • Linux
   • Windows
   • MAC
   • Plug-in
5. Click the link that begins dwspectrumclient-4.0.0.29990.

Result: The DW Spectrum app will begin installation.

After the app installs, sign in using your current system's IP and port, user name, and password. click OK.

Note: The IP address and port number are on the surveillance portal login page.
