Turning On Parental Control Locks
The Program Guide lets you restrict access to TV programs in several different ways. Changing the locking status is the next step to turning on Parental Controls.
- Press the COX MENU button to display the Menu.
- Use the ARROWS to highlight Settings. Press SELECT.
- Parental Controls is highlighted. Press SELECT.
- Parental Locks is highlighted. Press SELECT.
- The Locking Status option is highlighted. Press SELECT.
- The ON option in the center column is highlighted. Press SELECT.
- Parental Controls are now turned ON.
- Press EXIT to close Settings or press the LEFT arrow button to return to Locking Status.
If Temporarily Off is selected, Parental controls remains disabled as long as remote is active or no change has been made for five hours then parental controls are automatically activated.
Locking or Unlocking Parental Control Features
After turning on Parental Controls and Locking Status, you have a number of different ways to restrict access to TV viewing, including by channel, by rating, and by content advisories.
- Press the COX MENU button to display the Menu.
- Use the ARROW buttons to highlight Settings. Press SELECT.
- Parental Controls is highlighted. Press SELECT.
- Parental Locks is highlighted. Press SELECT.
- Use the ARROW buttons to highlight a category. All of the category options are displayed in the center column.
- Change the locking features using the table below.
Control Feature | Details | How to turn On or Off |
