Managing the Parental Control Movie Rating Locks on Contour

Movie Rating Locks allows you to set Parental Controls to block movies based on their Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) ratings. Change the various locks to ensure age-appropriate movies are accessible. Ratings include:

• Adult - Adult audiences only.
• NC-17 - No on 17 years old and under is admitted.
• R - Restricted. Under 17 years old requires accompanying parent or guardian.
• PG-13 - Parents strongly cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
• PG - Parental guidance suggested. Some materials may not be suitable for children.
• G - General audiences. Contains nothing that would offend parents for viewing by their children.

On the Cox remote, press the CONTOUR button.

Press the arrow buttons to highlight Settings, then press OK.

Press the down arrow button to highlight Parental Controls, then press OK.

Enter your four-digit PIN.

Press the down arrow button to highlight Movie Rating Locks, then press OK.

• A gray open lock icon indicates unlocked movie ratings.
• A blue closed lock icon indicates locked movie ratings.

Press OK to turn the lock on or off.

For each additional rating to be locked or unlocked, highlight the rating and press OK.
