Using the Contour Program Guide

Solution

With the Contour Program guide, you can find out when a show or movie will be on again and review program information. Additionally, you can set favorites and filters to view only specific channels or types of programming.

Note: Advertising within the guide is normal and will appear on every 10 lines.

Browse Programming

The table below provides instructions to browse programming in the onscreen guide.
 

Action Guide
Access the guide Press the GUIDE button on the Cox remote.
Navigate within channel listings Use the up and down arrows, Page Up, and Page Down to scroll through listings.
Jump to a specific channel
  1. Do one of the following:
    • Use the number buttons on the remote to enter the channel number, then press OK.
    • Use the number buttons on the remote to spell the channel name. For example, press 2-6-2 for “AMC.”

      Note: Letters are associated with numbers 2-9 in the same manner as on traditional telephone keypads, where 2 = “A / B / C,” 3 = “D / E / F,” and so on; use 0 for spaces.
       
  2. As results display, use the arrows to highlight the channel from the list, then press OK to jump to the channel.

    Note: Searching for a channel that is not included in the customer's channel lineup displays the next available channel in numerical order.
View channel options, information, or program schedule
  1. Use the up and down arrows to highlight a channel.
  2. Press the left arrow to highlight the Channel Name / Number / Logo, then press OK. 
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Use the arrows to choose Watch, Record, My List, or Channel Info, then press OK.
    • Press page down to view upcoming programming. Use the up and down arrows, Page Up and Page Down to move through time.
  4. Press Last to return to TV listings.
View programming for a different time or day
  • Use the right and left arrows to move forward or backward by a one-time slot.
  • Use FFWD and REW to move forward or backward by one day.

Note: Only current and future day programming can be viewed.
View program information
  1. Use the arrows to highlight a program.
  2. Press Info.

    Result: Additional options display below the program listings.
     
  3. Use the arrows to choose Watch, Episodes, Record, Other Times, or Series / Movie Info, then press OK.
  4. Press the up arrow to return to TV listings.
Return to watching TV Press EXIT.
