Cox Supplier Diversity Program
Cox believes that diversity improves our business, strengthens our communities and contributes to the economic well-being of an increased number of businesses and their employees. We value and encourage the use of qualified minority-owned (MBE); women-owned (WBE); lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT); veteran, service disabled veterans, and disability businesses in our company-wide purchasing process. We seek to form mutually beneficial partnerships with suppliers who offer high-quality products or services that are competitively priced and come with excellent customer service.
For the purpose of this program, a qualified business enterprise is defined as a business that is at least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by one or more of the following groups, who are either U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, and has its principal place of business (headquarters) in the United States. In the case of publicly owned businesses, a member or members of diverse groups below must own at least 51 percent of the stock.
The supplier diversity program is led and executed by the strategic sourcing and procurement team within supply chain management. Please reach out to CoxSupplierDiversity@cox.com with questions.

Supplier Scholarship Program
The Cox Communications Diverse Supplier Scholarship Program provides continuing education opportunities for small, diverse-owned businesses to fuel growth. The program is building a stronger diverse supplier network that reinforces Cox’s commitment to strengthening diverse (women, LGBTQ, veteran, disabled and minority-owned) businesses across our value chain. Cox Communications is continuously expanding the program partnership with our five education partners.
"Attending the diversity supplier series for small business leaders was one of the most valuable uses of my time in 2018. As a small business owner the information provided was invaluable. The engaging and highly educated speakers applied real-life business practicum and principles that made the application of content to my day to day business effective and seamless. Not to mention, networking in the small intimate class setting with other CEOs allowed us to ask questions and support each other in situations that were new to us in business or needed an overhaul. It was refreshing to gain different perspective from other CEOs and ask questions in regard to current business situations to develop solutions that work. I have already implemented strategies and lessons learned from the courses and have seen a significant improvement in my own business process. I can’t recommend dedicating the time to business growth by attending this course enough.”
