Trial Information
How is Internet Reach from Cox different than Cox Internet?
Internet Reach from Cox combines a robust fiber-optic network with next generation fixed wireless technology to deliver internet services to underserved locations where other similar service providers cannot. The wireless network broadcasts a radio signal from a wireless tower to a receiver unit positioned on your home to provide broadband services.
Is Internet Reach from Cox the same as satellite?
No. Unlike satellite internet service, which transports data from the atmosphere direct to a satellite receiver on your home, Internet Reach from Cox provides service through a wireless connection from a tower to a receiver at your home. This should result in a better online experience than most satellite internet services offer.
What is included in the Internet Reach trial plan?
The Internet Reach trial plan includes free highspeed internet, all equipment including antenna, Wi-Fi Router, professional installation, and support – all with no bills, usage charges, or fees from Cox.
How much does the Internet Reach trial plan cost?
The trial plan is free to the participants for the duration of the trial. No bills, usage charges or fees from Cox, but we do require feedback and participation in our surveys.
Is Internet Reach available at my address?
To see if your home is eligible for Internet Reach service, please submit your information above via the Check Eligibility button.
If I decide to move, can I transfer my Internet Reach service to my new home?
No, the service is not transferrable. If you decide to move or relocate, you will not be able to continue as a participant in the trial, and the service will be terminated and all equipment must be returned to Cox. Contact us and we will return to remove the equipment.
How long will the Internet Reach trial last?
The trial will last for about 12 months.
If I decide to cancel my service or leave the trial in the middle, do I need to return any equipment?
Yes, the equipment (Antenna and Router) needs to be returned to Cox if you decide to cancel service or leave the trial. A technician will come to safely remove the antenna and collect the router from you if you decide to cancel or leave the trial.
What happens when the trial ends?
When the trial ends, all the participants will be informed, and asked to provide their feedback with regards to the internet service and their experience. You will be required to return the equipment provided to you during the trial.
I signed up to be a trial participant, but I have not heard anything back yet. What can I expect?
