Complete the following steps to disable Number Lock Protection in MyAccount.
Go to My Account, enter your User ID and Password, and then click Sign In.
Note: If you do not remember your User ID or Password, or experience an issue signing in, see Recover Your Cox User ID or Reset Your Cox Password.
Click on My Profile.
On the My Profile screen, under Password, Security & Privacy click Number lock protection.
Click the Disable radio button.
Select to receive a text or email to confirm your identity.
If you selected text, enter your mobile number and click Next.
If you selected email, enter your email address and click Next.
A link will be sent to complete the ID Scan Process, click I'm Finished.
Note: You have 24 hours to complete the ID Scan before the link expires. A new link cannot be sent until the previous link is expired. If you have any issues with this process or receive an error message, contact Cox.
