Overview
Cloud Voice for Microsoft Teams from Cox Business uses Operator Connect for Microsoft Teams to integrate phone numbers and public switched telephone network (PSTN) connectivity with unlimited local and domestic long-distance calling for Microsoft Teams users and auto attendants/call queues.
Requirements
Customers must have Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Phone System licensing before a phone number is assigned. Licenses are available in bundle options from Cox Business, Microsoft, and Microsoft partners. For Cloud Voice for Microsoft Teams to be activated, your Microsoft Teams Administrator must complete the following.
- Activate Cox Business as your service provider - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us.microsoft.operator-connect-configure
- Establish at least one emergency address - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/what-are-emergency-locations-addresses-and-call-routing

Assigning Phone Numbers
Once Cox Business enables Cloud Voice for Microsoft Teams, your Microsoft Teams 365 Administrator can assign telephone numbers to users. To assign phone numbers to a Microsoft Teams Auto Attendant/Call Queue, see Switching Phone Numbers Between Microsoft Teams Users and Auto Attendants/Call Queues.
