Contour TV Wireless Setup Guide

Refer to the following steps to connect your wireless Contour box.
 

Note: For Easy Connect kit contents, refer to Contour TV Wireless Kit Contents.
 

  • To access your Channel Lineup, go to Cox.com, Products, and TV Channel Lineup.
  • Watch movies and your favorite shows on your schedule with On Demand.
  • Installing two devices from the same cable outlet requires a splitter.

Refer to the following steps to connect your wireless Contour box.

Verify Your Gateway

Verify that your Gateway is installed and that the internet is working.
 

Note: Your Gateway may look different than the image above.

Connect HDMI Cord

Connect the HDMI cord to your TV and the Contour Stream Player.

Connect Power Cord

Connect the power cord to an electrical outlet and the Contour Stream Player.
 

Easy Connect Tip: Ensure the power cord isn’t plugged into an electrical outlet connected to a dimmer.

Activate the Contour Stream Player

Turn on your TV. Then, press the source or input button using your original TV remote and select the correct HDMI connection. You’ll be prompted to follow on-screen instructions. Then, hang tight for a few minutes for the activation to finish.
 

If your Contour 4K Wireless set-top box does not successfully pair with the Host Wi-Fi Gateway, you must manually pair the devices by completing the following steps.

  1. Press the WPS button from the bottom of your Contour 4K Wireless box.
  2. Press the WPS button from the bottom of your Host Wi-Fi Gateway.

    Note: This must be completed within two minutes.

Result: After pairing is complete, setup continues automatically.

Set Up Your New Voice Remote

Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your new Voice remote. When you see “All Set,” press OK.
