Cox Internet Gateway - PW3 Passthrough Setup Guide

Refer to the following steps to connect your Cox Internet Gateway.
 

Note: For Easy Connect kit contents, refer to Cox Internet Kit Contents.

Connect the Coax Cable

Connect the coax cable to the Gateway and an active cable outlet.

Connect the Power Cord

Connect the power cord to the Gateway and an electrical outlet.
 

Note: Ensure the electrical outlet isn’t connected to a dimmer.

Connect to the Network

Wait about ten minutes for the gateway to power on. You will know the device is ready when you see the following on the gateway.

  1. Power light is solid
  2. The Online link is solid
  3. The US/DS is blinking

Ready for Cox Video Device

Once your gateway is connected and online, you can install your Cox Video devices Easy Connect.
 

If your Contour 4K Wireless set-top box does not successfully pair with the PW3 Wi-Fi Gateway, you must manually pair the devices.

  1. Press the WPS button on the bottom edge of your Contour 4K Wireless Set Top Box.
  2. Within two minutes, press the WPS Button on the top edge of your PW3 WiFi Gateway modem. After pairing is complete, setup continues automatically.
