Tracking your usage
To view your monthly data usage meter, go to the Line Details screen in the Cox app or My Account. Plus, we’ll help you stay within your monthly limits by sending you emails and text notifications.

What cellular data plans are available with Cox Mobile?
Flexible mobile data plan options designed to give you more control and save you money. Only pay for the data you need with Pay As You Gig, or switch to Gig Unlimited if your needs change.*
What are my shipping options when ordering a new phone from Cox Mobile?
All devices will be shipped via 2-day shipping, free of charge to the customer. Orders must be placed by 3PM ET to receive 2-day shipping. If an order is placed on Saturday, Cox will automatically upgrade the order to "overnight" shipping and it will ship Monday.
Cox will require an in-person signature for all device and accessory shipments over $300. Anyone in the household ages 18 and older is eligible to sign for deliveries.
Cox Mobile customers will only be allowed to ship devices and accessories to their service address.
What mobile devices do you offer?
Cox Mobile is excited to offer a variety of the latest Apple and Samsung devices.
Can I bring my own phone to Cox Mobile?
Yes, you can keep your current device when switching to Cox Mobile. First, let’s just make sure it works with our plans. Check compatibility
How will I know when my order has shipped?
We will email you a tracking number once the shipment is generated.
Can I bring my own cell phone number after switching to Cox Mobile?
Yes. We accept mobile and landline phone numbers from all U.S. carriers, so it's easy to transfer your number when you sign up.
I have a Cox Voice home service. Can I replace my Cox Voice service with Cox Mobile service, but keep the same phone number?
Yes, you may keep your existing Cox Voice number and not have to get a new number for your Cox Mobile device.
I already have an existing line with Cox mobile, but I want to switch to a newer device. Is that allowed?
Yes, you can purchase a new device for an existing Cox Mobile line. If your previous device was on a payment plan, you may finance the new device against any open line of credit. Both devices will be on a payment plan with Citizens.‡

Can I use a different address than my current Cox Service address?
Yes, if you have lived at your address for less than 6 months, you can provide an alternate address. However, we will ship devices to your service address.
What does it mean if a device is on backorder?
If a device is on backorder, it means that device is currently out of stock. We have ordered more of that device, and we will deliver it to your service address ASAP.
Can I still place an order even a device is on backorder?
Yes, you can still place an order, request financing, and set up your account while waiting for your device to be available. But you may only order one (1) device that is on backorder at a time.
How long will I have to wait on back-order devices?
If a device is on backorder, we will provide estimated shipping information on the device product page. Items take 48 hours to arrive once shipped.
Do I still need to pay for my device if it's on backorder?
Your credit card information will be safely secured and associated with your transaction. Once the device is in inventory, you will be charged based on your selection (the full amount or financed amount) when the device ships.

What is Number Lock Protection?
Number Lock Protection is an optional feature on your Cox Mobile account that prevents unauthorized users from transferring your phone number to other devices or to a different wireless carrier in order to gain access to your data and personal information.
How much does Number Lock Protection cost?
This is a free optional feature.
How do I enable Number Lock Protection?
Authorized users can enable the feature on Cox.com. Simply log into your account on Cox.com, go to My Account, and click My Profile. Under Password, Security & Privacy, click on Number Lock Protection. Follow the step-by-step instructions to enable the feature.
Note: Number Lock Protection only secures your Cox Mobile lines. It does not affect any landlines you may have.
How do I disable Number Lock Protection?
Authorized users can disable the feature on Cox.com. Simply log into your account on Cox.com, go to My Account, and click My Profile. Under Password, Security & Privacy, click on Number Lock Protection. Follow the step-by-step instructions to disable the feature.
Note: Number Lock Protection only secures your Cox Mobile lines. It does not affect any landlines you may have.
Will Number Lock Protection work for my Cox landline?
No. Number Lock Protection only adds additional protection for your activated Cox Mobile lines.
